Two alligator clips #23- 34546 from Radio Shack work very well. Go through the wiring checking for shorted or pinched wires, checking the meter as you go through. Disconnect wires from components such as the ignition switch, solenoid or any component that has voltage to it at all times. When the meter reading drops you have found the trouble.
